The 5th Glasgow Junior Section meet between 6.15 and 7.30pm on Tuesday nights from September until June. The Junior Section is for any boy from Primary 4 through to Primary 6. Boys are encouraged to undertake a variety of achievements, gaining recognition for each one completed. At the end of the session they should have gained a Badge - Target & Bronze (P4), Silver (P5), or Gold (P6).

As you will see from the notes below we also compete with other companies in the Partick District Area with usually at least one competition a month throughout the year. Over the years the 5th have enjoyed a large number of individual successes cumulating in us often winning the overall Partick District Junior Section Title. While it is good to win it is just as rewarding seeing the boys competing and enjoying themselves with other boys from outwith their own immediate environment.

In addition we have Halloween and Christmas parties and on a Saturday at the end of May or early in June we take the boys away for a fun day out. On a Tuesday evening towards the end of May we hold our Annual Inspection & Prize Giving when family and friends are invited to come along and see the boys in action.

We held our end of session Anchor Boys & Junior Section day out on Saturday 1st June. Our Anchors & Juniors rounded off their session with a trip to Balloch Country Park for fun, games and plenty of ice cream...72 ice creams in total in fact! It was a hot, sweaty day, but the boys enjoyed it!

Some of the highlights before Christmas were an exotic fruit tasting challenge, our Halloween Party - with some super costumes on show & our Christmas Party night, all great fun!

After the Christmas break the boys we celebrated Chinese New Year, Valentines Day & Shrove Tuesday, enjoyed plenty of energetic games!

Our Junior Section boys had a great night on Monday 26 September, taking 2nd place at the District 5-a-side football tournament at Scotstoun. Well done boys, what a great effort & great fun!
